About Lavaux
One of the most breathtaking and peaceful wine regions in Switzerland
This UNESCO World Heritage site is known for its steep, terraced vineyards that stretch from Lausanne to Montreux. Shaped by centuries of human care and tradition, Lavaux offers more than just spectacular views. It holds layers of history, wine craftsmanship, and cultural richness.
Lavaux is also famous for its “three suns”—a poetic way to describe the unique microclimate that helps create its exceptional wines. The vines benefit from:
- Direct sunlight from the sky
- Reflection off Lake Leman, which bounces light and warmth back to the vineyards
- Stored heat from the stone walls, which radiate warmth overnight
These three sources of heat and light help produce ripe, expressive grapes—especially Chasselas—and give Lavaux wines their characteristic freshness and depth.
About Chantal
Welcome!
I’m Chantal, a WSET Level 3 certified wine expert and Lavaux local since 2020. I created In Lavaux With You to share the soul of this extraordinary region with curious travelers like you.
My Story: I’ve walked these vineyard paths countless times, but they never lose their magic. I have visited many vineyards in the world, and studied wine making and wine tasting in the most well-known wine regions of France (Bordeaux, Burgundy), even riding horses between different wine regions, before falling in love with the landscapes around the Leman lake. With a deep love and understanding for Swiss and world wines, I bring together expertise, storytelling, and a personal touch in every tour.
Why I Guide: Lavaux isn’t just where I live—it’s where I reconnect, reflect, and celebrate life with a glass of wine. Through my wine walks, I offer guests more than just a tasting. I offer context, connection, and a moment to slow down and savour.
Qualifications:
- WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Level 3 in Wines
- Years of experience in wine tasting and regional knowledge

Client Testimonials
Here’s how travellers describe their experience:
The views are breathtaking, but what made it special was our guide’s warmth and deep wine knowledge. Chantal also knows a lot of incredible and hidden photo spots, sometimes very unexpected spots (like at the cascade!). We loved meeting the winemakers and their family. Thanks for such a memorable time!
Nina & Alex, Netherlands
I was looking for something authentic and relaxed—and this was perfect. Chantal is not only incredibly knowledgeable about wine but also deeply connected to the region. I learned so much during this afternoon. The pace was just right, and the personal connection made it feel like walking with a friend.
Caitlin, USA
We booked a custom full-day tour with stops in the villages and a visit to the castle. Chantal made it incredibly engaging for us and our teenage daughter—not just about wine, but about history, landscape, and culture. We all felt like we were truly discovering something local and rare.
Céline & David, France
We’ve done wine tours around Europe, but this one stands out. Lavaux is stunning, but Chantal made it come alive with just the right amount of storytelling, wine facts, and charm. The pace was perfect, and the scenery unforgettable.
